Hub is a curated library of browser-based tools covering everything from code formatting and image compression to invoice generation and survey analytics. Every tool is built with the same commitment: it runs entirely in your browser, it's free without limits, and it doesn't ask for anything in return.
There are no hidden tiers, no usage caps, and no ads embedded in the tools themselves. Open a tool, use it, close the tab. That's the entire experience.

How much does Hub cost?
All tools are free — no credit card, no account, no trial period
Every single tool on Hub is fully functional at zero cost. There are no "free tier" limits that force you to upgrade. The invoice generator doesn't cap your line items. The password generator doesn't limit your character set. The survey builder doesn't cap your questions or responses.
How is Hub sustained?
Hub is supported by unobtrusive display advertising on the homepage and tool pages. These ads are separate from the tool interfaces — they never interrupt your workflow. If you'd like to support Hub directly, you can also buy the team a coffee via Ko-fi, though this is entirely optional.
The long-term vision for Hub is to keep it free for individual users and small teams indefinitely. Commercial enterprise licensing may be explored in the future, but free access for individuals will always remain.

How to use Hub
Hub requires no setup, no account, and no installation. Here's how to get started in under a minute:

The homepage loads all 93 tools in a filterable, searchable grid. You can filter by category (Business, Dev, Text, Image, Math, etc.) or search by keyword — for example, searching "invoice" surfaces the Invoice Generator immediately.
Click any tool to open it
Each tool opens in its own full-page interface — no popups, no interstitials. Tools load instantly because they have no server round-trips for processing; all computation happens in your browser using JavaScript.
Use it — inputs are never logged
Paste your JSON, write your invoice details, upload your image, or enter your survey questions. None of this is sent to any server. Your data is processed entirely in your browser tab and disappears when you close it, unless you explicitly export or download it.
Export, copy, or share your output
Every tool that produces output has export or copy functionality — PDFs, PNGs, JSON downloads, clipboard copy, shareable links. For tools like the Survey Builder, you can share a link that lets others respond; responses are synced to your account in the cloud at zero cost.
Bookmark it — no account needed
Hub preserves your preferences (dark/light mode, tool state) using browser localStorage. Nothing is stored server-side. If you want a tool to remember your last session data, some tools support draft persistence via localStorage that survives page reloads.

What data does Hub collect?
Hub is built on a single principle: your data stays on your device. Here's exactly what we do and don't collect.
Zero Tool-Input Logging
The text, files, and data you enter into any tool are never sent to our servers. Processing is 100% client-side JavaScript in your browser tab.
No Account Required
No sign-up, no email, no password. Preferences like dark mode are stored in your browser's localStorage — nothing server-side.
Analytics Only (No Content)
We collect standard page-view analytics (country, device type, referrer) and AdSense impressions. Neither touches what you type into tools.
The three limited exceptions:
Survey Builder (opt-in): When a survey creator enables cloud sync, responses are stored in a third-party JSON blob service — accessible only via the unique blob ID in the share link. This is opt-in and contains only the response data the creator chose to collect.
External API tools: Currency Converter, IP Lookup, and DNS Lookup make outbound requests to third-party APIs for live data. These carry only the minimal parameters needed (a currency code, an IP, a domain) — no user-entered content.
Browser localStorage: Some tools (Survey Builder, KPI Dashboard) persist draft state in your browser's localStorage across reloads. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared any time via your browser settings.

Report a Bug
Describe the issue, the tool name, what you expected and what actually happened. Screenshots always help us reproduce it faster.
Most feedback is reviewed within a few days. Critical bugs — tools that are fully broken or produce incorrect output — are typically fixed and shipped within 48 hours. Feature requests are prioritised by community interest: if multiple people ask for the same thing, it moves up the queue.

Common questions
Do I need to create an account to use Hub tools?
No. There are no accounts on Hub. You open a tool, use it, and that's it. Your browser's localStorage is used for things like theme preference and draft state, but this requires no sign-in and stores nothing server-side.
Can I use Hub tools for commercial projects?
Yes, fully. The outputs from Hub tools (generated invoices, exported PDFs, formatted JSON, created images) are yours to use however you like — personal or commercial. There are no licensing restrictions on the outputs you produce.
Do Hub tools work offline?
Most tools work offline once the page has loaded, since all processing is client-side JavaScript. Tools that fetch live external data (Currency Converter, IP Lookup, DNS Lookup, Language Translator) require an internet connection for that specific fetch, but even those tools' interfaces are usable offline.
Is there a mobile app version of Hub?
Not yet as a dedicated app, but Hub is fully mobile-responsive and works well in mobile browsers. You can add hub.aroralabs.org to your home screen via your browser's "Add to Home Screen" option for an app-like experience without a download.
How often are new tools added?
Hub grows regularly — typically a handful of new tools per month, depending on feedback and demand. The "All" filter on the homepage shows the most up-to-date total count. Follow AroraLabs on social or subscribe to the blog to be notified when new tools launch.
Can I embed Hub tools in my own website?
Hub tools can be linked to directly (each has a clean, shareable URL) but they're not currently available as embeddable iframes or npm packages. If there's demand for an embeddable version of specific tools, reach out via the contact form.
Is the Survey Builder's cloud sync secure?
Survey responses are stored via a third-party JSON blob service and are accessible only via the unique blob ID embedded in your share link. They are not encrypted server-side, so we recommend not collecting sensitive personal data (passwords, financial details, government IDs) via the Survey Builder. For general-purpose feedback surveys, it's completely appropriate.
What browsers are supported?
All modern browsers are supported: Chrome 90+, Firefox 88+, Safari 14+, and Edge 90+. Hub does not support Internet Explorer. PDF export uses the browser's native print functionality, which is available in all supported browsers.
